Steam TrucksCIPP Services concept of building fully enclosed steam trucks for the Trenchless Technology pipe rehabilitation industry has been well received by contractors. Enclosing all components in a box truck streamlines operations while reducing maintenance costs. Protection from rain, snow and ultraviolet ray damage keeps units running longer while reducing unnecessary maintenance.
CIPP Services Steam trucks feature:
Enclosed Truck Body Design Protects Equipment From The Environment
Steam Truck Chassis:CIPP Services custom fabricates the enclosed truck body and installs all components within. Truck chassis can be new or used bases upon the choice of the customer. CIPP can refurbish truck chassis upon request. Truck chassis must meet certain specifications, please consult CIPP Services before the purchase of any truck chassis.
All CIPP Services Steam Trucks are equipped with system drains to purge water for easy winterization when truck is not in use.
CIPP Steam trucks can also process Fold & Form PVC or HDPE liners, another type of Trenchless Technology for sanitary and storm sewer rehabilitation
Steam trucks can also produce revenue by providing a temporary steam source during plant shutdowns, emergency steam during building steam boiler repairs, thawing pipelines and springtime water pre-heating of swimming pools.
About Clayton Steam GeneratorsPipeVision Products Inc. (www.pipevisioninc.com) began installing cured-in-place pipe liners in 1999. The company used boiler and steam trucks designed for the oilfield industry modified to process cipp liners. Not satisfied with the performance, fuel efficiency and equipment reliability, PipeVision Products began to build steam & hot water trucks for their own use in 2005. In 2009, CIPP Services, LLC (www.cipp-services.com) began business as a supplier of equipment designed for the Cured-In-Place Pipe industry that included steam trucks, hot water trucks, inversion deck trailers, air inverters and enhanced lateral cutter reinstatement motors.
The Benefits Of Clayton Steam Generators For Installing Cured-In-Place Pipe Liners.
Unlike other manufactures, CIPP Services has selected Clayton Steam Generators (a complete package system) for use in constructing self contained steam trucks. Clayton Steam Generators are compact units with an 82% efficiency rating, a major operational cost saving factor since fuel oil is near 4.00 per gallon. Clayton units far exceeds fuel efficiency and reliability compared to "custom" built units than use large oil fired burner guns attached to a firebox with a piping coil. Custom built units that advertise large BTU outputs (as per the oil fired burner gun specifications) in reality the actual transfer of heat to water or steam output is doubtful, nowhere close to advertised.
Clayton Steam Generators provide high pressure steam, which is higher in temperature (close to 300° F) and with less condensate.
Clayton Steam Generators use solid state control panels with several factory installed and tested safeguards to control all unit functions. When boilers are mounted in steam trucks, a Clayton factory representative comes to La Salle to fire the boiler for the first time and to double check all control systems and boiler efficiency.
Clayton has a worldwide presence, with service technicians and parts available throughout the country. To learn more about Clayton Steam Generators and the company, please visit their website at www.claytonindustries.com. The website contains valuable information about all steam units.
Addition of a hot well that collects steam blow-off to be saved and used as boiler make-up water reduces fuel consumption. Clayton Steam Generators do not use triplex pumps, pumps that cannot tolerate hot water to supply boiler feed water.
Use of stainless steel water tanks and pumps along with water softener system prolongs steam boiler coil life. This is especially important since units are filled & drained on a daily basis, decreasing the potential for coil oxidation damage.
Enclosed Truck BodiesUse of enclosed truck bodies prevents damage to equipment from wind, rain, salt, vandalism and most importantly damage from ultra-violent rays. The enclosed control room allows for operator protection while processing CIPP liners in any type of weather. Depending upon the overall truck body size, air inverters, liner steam cans, "A" & "B" steam stations, stab pipes can be securely transported to jobsites unlike "open deck" units.
